Last week, while stopped at a red light, we were rear ended by a minivan. There wasn't any damage but Ella declared, "Mommy, we got bumped!"
Tonight we went for dinner with Uncle Joey & Grandma. In the parking lot and while I was installing Ella's car seat into the car, a guy backing out of his parking spot, backed right into the bumper and left a significant dent. "Oh no! Grandma, we got bumped again!" Ella was fascinated by the police car so I got this pic... he even put on his lights and siren for a second for her.
What's up with your drivers Georgia????
We had breakfast at the Original House of Pancakes this morning with Great-Grandma and then headed back to her house for a visit...

We flew out on Thursday in the late afternoon and arrived in Atlanta after only 7 1/2 hours. We spent Friday adjusting and catching up on sleep. Despite missing Hawaii terribly, we are enjoying the fall here; it has been gorgeous and sunny, warm with a cool crisp breeze. I said to Ron this morning, "You smell that? That is fall!" It's such a treat to be in a different season... though I say that because I must be in denial that we've actually left Hawaii :)

We all woke up at midnight, hungry because our body clocks are still in the aloha spirit, but we managed to get back to sleep and get up at a decent time. Ella helped her granddad power wash his truck in her new rainboots and tights. We are settled and going to enjoy our visit until we figure out where and when we'll be going...

While Ron waited for his appointment this morning, Ella and I took the bus to the children's hair salon at Pearl Harbor. Ella was so excited to take the city bus, even if it was for only 3 stops :)
Ella had her first salon haircut at Pigtails and Crewcuts. She picked the regular salon chair over all the kid ones that look like amusement park rides. She was so proud to sit nicely, while the kid next to her screamed. She had her hair washed and trimmed and even got her photo taken. We met Emmi and Christina and spent the afternoon with them and headed over to the pool to see our friends and the lifeguards.

It was our last goodbye as we fly out tomorrow and take an overnight flight to Atlanta. This past week has been surreal; it seems every time we say goodbye to someone, our trip gets delayed and we end up seeing them again. It's been an odd week for sure.
Aloha Hawaii!
Aloha friends!!
We hope to be back but until then:
Aloha au ia'oe and Ha'o wau ia 'oe!
